Did you know that in African Culture the turtle is associated with Fertility?  It is the embodiment of femininity.  In many African children's stories, the turtle is considered the most intelligent animal there is.  It is described as a slow but very cunning reptile that always finds a solution to every situation, even the most dangerous.  Who knew something so cute is also so powerful!  The giver of life and the holder of wisdom.
